There are multiple accounts of the history of dreadlocks. It is said that they date back to East Africa where some communities wore them ever since their existence. It is also suggested that they originated in ancient Egypt where the Egyptians wore locked hairstyles and wigs. Different cultures wore them for different reasons, some for religious beliefs and others have them for beauty purposes. Dreadlocks have been brought to mainstream culture due to the massive success of reggae artist Bob Marley.
For my timed assessment I want to somehow create the look of dreadlocks in my models hair as I think it is a really unique look that you don't see often.
